Congregate Nutrition Center    Located at Covenant Homes in Rocky Mount participants meet together to enjoy a hot lunch time meal and fellowship.  Contact Brenda Shields at 459-1367 for more information.


Caregiver Support Group    On the second Tuesday of each month at 3:00pm caregivers are welcome to join in a caregiver support group at the senior center.  Contact Phyllis Sumler at 459-1365 for more information.

Respite Service for Caregivers    Registered caregivers caring for a Nash County resident can apply to receive free respite care.  Contact Phyllis Sumler at 459-1365 for more information.

Cold Facts Medical Information Sheet    This program is designed to provide emergency medical personnel with vital information about an individual in the event of an emergency.  Contact Brenda Shields at 459-1367 . 


Discounted Nutritional Supplements    Nutritional Supplement Beverages are available for purchase at a discount price.  To learn eligibility requirements and program hours contact Amy Farmer at 459-7681.


Transportation Assistance to the Senior Center    For individuals interested in coming to the Senior Center but lack transportation resources.  Contact Brenda Shields at 459-1367 for more information. 


Medical Transportation    For non-Medicaid older adults age 60 and older.  Qualification requires that no other viable transportation is available to the client.  Contact Brenda Shields at 459-1367 for more information.  

 
Monthly WalMart Transportation    Participants spend 2 hours from 10am until 12pm at WalMart on the fourth Tuesday of each month.  For more information contact Jamie Wilson at 459-1375.


HASTEN Emergency Response System    Dials directly into our local E911 centers and comes complete with a smoke detector for 24-hour fire protection.  Contact Amy Farmer at 459-7681 for more information.


Telephone Reassurance    Volunteers call clients daily to check on them and make sure they are okay.  For more information on volunteering or becoming a client call Jamie Wilson at 459-1375


Support Group for the Blind    The Nash County Senior Center hosts a once a month support group for the blind and transportation services are provided.  Contact Jamie Wilson at 459-1375 for more information.

AARP Tax Aide    Interested individuals can call 459-7681 to inquire about tax preparation service schedule.


AARP Driver Safety Classes    The Nash County Senior Center hosts driver safety classes provided by AARP’s 55 Alive Driver Safety Program.  Classes are held approximately every 6 month.  Call 459-7681 for the next class date.
