Fitness Equipment The Nash County Senior Center has a Fitness Room that is equipped with six treadmills, two recumbent cycles, one upright bike, two elliptical trainers, two weight stations, one torso ergometer, and free weights. The room has a television, mirrored walls, fans and an air conditioner, a scale, a blood pressure machine, sanitation wipes and seating. The fitness room is available for use Monday thru Thursday from 8am to 7pm and on Fridays from 8am to 5pm. Requirements: A medical screening and a doctor’s clearance form is required as well as an orientation to the equipment by a fitness trainer.
Fitness Trainer Is available on Mondays at 1pm and Thursdays at 10:30am. All new fitness room participants must submit the proper paper work and have an orientation session with the fitness trainer.
Aerobics Level I Aerobics are offered every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:30am as well as Monday afternoon at 3:15pm. Level II Aerobics are offered Monday thru Friday at 8:30am. All of our aerobic classes are video aerobics. Participants in level I are using a chair either sitting or standing behind for balance. Participants in level II aerobics are standing and moving arms and legs for the majority of the video. All of our aerobic classes are drop-in, you do not have to sign up or pre-register.
Foot Care Clinic This service is provided the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 5th Mondays by a registered nurse at the Nash County Senior Center. Pre-registration is required and there is a $20 fee for this service. Call 459-7681 to make an appointment.
