HASTEN Emergency Response System This unique emergency response system dials directly into our local E911 centers and comes complete with a smoke detector for 24-hour fire protection. There is a $25 installation fee and a monthly rental of $26.70. A signed contract does not obligate the user to a predetermined time period nor will an additional fee be charged for the removal of the system when it is no longer needed. Nash County Project Lifesaver What is Project Lifesaver? Project Lifesaver is a rapid response program that locates people who have a cognitive impairment (i.e., Alzheimer's disease, Autism, Down's Syndrome, and dementia) who wander away from their caregivers. Cold Facts Medical Information Sheet A one-page form of medical and personal information that comes with a plastic medicine vial showing the Cold Facts logo. The information sheet is to be completed, folded and placed inside of the plastic vial, and placed inside of the door of the refrigerator. A sticker with the Cold Facts logo is provided for the outside of the refrigerator. This program is designed to provide emergency medical personnel with vital information about an individual in the event of an emergency. Contact Brenda Shields at 459-1367 for more information.
Special Needs Information Program The Nash County Aging Department partners with the Nash County Health Department to collect information on county residents with special needs. This information is used to help determine if an individual is eligible for special needs sheltering in the event of a disaster. Once information is assessed, the appropriate planning materials are sent to the individual to properly prepare for a future disaster.
