Healthy Eating Food SelectionsMany of the chronic illnesses we experience today are caused, at least in part, by UNHEALTHY BEHAVIORS such as not exercising regularly, smoking, and diets that include too much fat and sugar intake.

You can have a life-saving impact on friends and coworkers by encouraging civic groups and your worksite to adopt a HEALTHY EATING POLICY!

This means that each time food is served in the group or at work, some healthy options are available. Providing healthy options ensures that your coworkers have the opportunity to make the healthier choice. He or she may begin to make the choice regularly and even start offering healthy options to their families!

A healthy food policy doesn't mean you can never have breakfast pastries or subs with bacon. Healthy eating includes servings of fruit with your breakfast pastries or a selection of subs - some without the bacon and mayo.
