There are two primary types of UCC filings as described below:
The UCC-1 is a form used in an initial filing of a financing statement. According to G. S. 25-9-402, the financing statement must contain the following information:
Secured party's name
Debtor's name
Debtor's signature (with certain exceptions)
Secured party's address
Debtor's mailing address
Statement indicating types of, or describing the items of, collateral
What are the filing fees?
UCC filing fees are based upon the total number of pages in each filing. Fees also apply to Termination statements. Fees are as follows:
The Secretary of State's Office will contine to accept the following forms of payment: cash, check, deposit account or wire transfer.
the UCC-11 is request for information on particular debtor, detailing any active financing statements.
