Statement of Purpose:

The Mission of the Nash County Sheriff's Office is "to protect the lives, well-being and property of its 95,000 citizens. This is accomplished through the enforcement of criminal and civil laws and the operation of the courts."

These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responding to calls for assistance by the public
• Aggressively patrolling the county to deter criminal activity
• Conducting criminal investigations
• Serving civil and criminal papers
• Educating the youth through the D.A.R.E program
• Efficiently operating the Court system
• Operation of the Detention Facility
• Providing a safe atmosphere for our children through the School Resource Officer Program  

The paramount goal in doing so shall be to make Nash County a place where people can visit and live without any fear for the safety or well-being of themselves, their family, or their property.
