The Patrol Division of the Nash County Sheriff's Office is comprised of twenty-nine full time deputies and nine reserve deputies. The Patrol Division is responsible for responding to calls for service from citizens of Nash county, as well as, service of criminal warrants and assisting with civil process. The Patrol Division is divided into four platoons, which provide twenty-four-hour service to the citizens of Nash County. The Division has one division commander, and each platoon has a sergeant and a corporal to monitor and supervise their shift. There are positions for seven deputies on each platoon. Each platoon is also staffed with a canine unit.
