The Staff Services Division of the Nash County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the internal records management system, maintaining and distributing equipment and supplies, and the operation of educational and community programs.
The Staff Services Division is responsible for the operation of educational and community programs, including D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) and School Resource Officer programs. These programs allow Nash County Sheriff’s Office personnel to interact with youth in a positive role, and provide instruction in drug and violence prevention, peer mediation, respect and responsibility.
This division annually reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of the Sheriff’s Office by reviewing crime reports and statistics, and analyzing patterns and trends of crime in Nash County. In addition, the Staff Services Division is also responsible for Professional Standards, crime prevention, grant writing/management, preparation of the agency’s budget and training.
The Staff Services Division is comprised of a division commander, one sergeant, one corporal, six deputies and three records clerks.
