Conservation Stewardship Program Funding
The USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has extended the deadline for producers interested in CSP to January 7th.

North Carolina Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
Landowners who wish to participate in this ranking and funding cycle should have their applications submitted to their local NRCS Field Office by close of business, December 17, 2010.

NRCS Longleaf Pine Initiative Available to Private Landowners
USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service has allocated more than $12 million to help private landowners in 9 States restore and manage longleaf pine.


Nash Soil and Water Conservation District is a subdivision of state government that is responsible for establishing a conservation program that meets the natural resource concerns of Nash County. This program consists of setting priorities for conservation work within the county, providing technical and financial assistance for installing Best Management Practices (BMP) on local farmland, providing soil survey and land use information for landowners, and to conduct environmental education to interest groups. The district also works closely with other agencies to assist customers with the wise use of natural resources.

Nash Soil & Water Conservation District is committed to quality leadership and customer service for the conservation of soil, water and related natural resources. The district strives to offer balanced technical assistance and cooperative conservation programs to land owners and land managers throughout Nash County.
