(Serving veterans and their families in Edgecombe and Nash Counties) Mission: To improve the quality of life of local veterans, their families, and survivors by providing counseling and assistance in seeking Federal and State benefits and services. Services Provided:
Advising and assisting veterans and other dependents of veterans in filing for compensation, pension claims and burial assistance.
Selecting and preparing proper forms for submission to the Department of Veteran's Affairs and other agencies.
Assisting persons in applying for medical benefits and life insurance through the Veteran's Administration or Department of Veteran's Affairs.
Assisting children of veterans in obtaining educational benefits to which they may be entitled.
Referring veterans and their families to appropriate agencies for help in obtaining information on the various programs.
