Eligible family caregivers are:
  • A caregiver of any age providing care for an older adult age 60 or older or providing care for a person with Alzheimer’s disease or related brain disorder.
  • A caregiver (who is not the birth or adoptive parent), age 55 or older, raising a related child age 18 and under or an adult with a disability.

Support Group

Caregiver support group meets at 3 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at The Nash Senior Center.  

Grief Support 
A grief support group meets at 10am on the second Tuesday of each month at The Nash Senior Center.

Respite Voucher Service
Registered caregivers caring for a Nash County resident can apply to receive respite voucher. Services are provided on a first come first service basis and until funding has been exhausted.

Candlelight Reflections Ceremony
November is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month and National Family Caregiver Month. The ceremony honors all those who have lost their lives to Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders as well as the individuals who are presently dealing with the disease. This event also recognizes the invaluable contributions of family caregivers.
