Mobile Home Disposal
Nash County’s Landfill accepts old or abandoned mobile homes free of charge.

Recycling Options for Households
North Carolina residents are strongly encouraged to recycle spent fluorescent lights and compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) from their homes. Resources are provided to help citizens find the option that is most convenient for them.


White Goods Disposal Plan
All appliances that contain or have contained freon must be taken to the Nash County Landfill located at 3057 Duke Rd, Nashville 27856. Items mayfridge be taken to the landfill Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These items may then be left for disposal at the landfill. This is a free service!

All other appliances can be taken to a convenience center. State fines can be assessed if lines are broken and freon is leaking per GS 130A-290 (a)(44).

Tank for Antifreeze
Now at Site Seven (3057 Duke Rd., Nashville) rural Nash County citizens may deposit their old antifreeze in the storage tank.


Cell Phone Disposal Plan

Mobile (cellular) phones will be accepted at the landfill only (it's free)!
Take phones to 3057 Duke Rd., Nashville 27856 Monday throughcell phone Friday from   8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cell Phone Recycling
The Nash County Senior Center offers a Cellular Recycle program. If you (or someone you know) received a new cell phone, please consider recycling. You may drop your old phone off at the Senior Center.
