Animal Control

The Animal Control Program encourages responsible pet ownership in our county and concentrating on the control of rabies. Our officers respond to calls and complaints regarding:
  • Animals at large
  • Stray and abandoned pets
  • Dangerous dogs
  • Injured animals
  • Animal welfare or cruelty
  • Surrendering a pet
  • Lost pets
  • Adoptions

Rabies Clinic - April 2, 2015
Nash County Animal Shelter, 921 First Street Ext, Nashville
8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
$5.00 per animal (dogs and cats)
One year tags will be issued.  3 year tags only with proof of previous vaccination.

Rabies vaccination protects you and your pets and is required by law

Spay or Neuter your pet(s) to reduce pet overpopulation.
